Welcome to our survey page. We strongly believe that the opinions and attitudes of citizens play a crucial role in shaping politics and society. For this reason, we regularly conduct representative surveys to gain a better understanding of public opinion on animal welfare and political issues.

The results of our surveys are available to all website visitors and may be freely used to gain a better understanding of attitudes and opinions on animal welfare, animal rights and animal policy.

Animal Policy Barometer 2023

In the most comprehensive and representative survey to date on animal policy in Germany, carried out in collaboration with the Sinus Institut, Animal Society was able to gain extensive insights into the attitudes and expectations of people in Germany, regarding animal welfare and policies. The aim is to understand citizen’s expectations surrounding these topics, in order to derive strategies for action for the animal rights movement as well as possible implications for policy-making.

Animal Policy Barometer 2021

There is still no clear framework governing who should represent the needs and interests of animals in democratic decision-making. However, the results of a representative survey carried out by the Sinus Institut on behalf of Animal Society show, for the first time, that a large proportion of people in Germany would like to see political representation for animals and are calling for a fundamental change in animal (welfare) policy.

Survey Results
